Alexandria And Drambui

Two grand old ladies left the flock yesterday.  Both had gotten very old very fast in the last few months and were becoming so crippled with arthritis that life was more of a chore than a pleasure.  They both passed gently on to greener pastures with the help of our good vet.  We'll miss their faces and friendly manners.

  1. Those two beautiful sheep were lucky to live with someone that took such good care of them, which allowed them to live such a long life and be protected from any suffering.

  2. I'm so sorry for you. Easing a loved furry, feathered, or fleecy family member across the Rainbow Bridge is hard, even if it's the right thing to do. You have an Alexandria and Drambui-sized hole in your heart, and an ache in your soul. May your happy memories of these two members of your flock give you comfort. Virtual hug.

  3. Sending hugs your way, but they did not suffer and lived a long healthy life. I didn't realize sheep would live that long, we have not had sheep very long my oldest is three.
